Two Ounce Turn - 1997

I have shaved since 1997! Anyway I was working at a large company and business was slow so my boss sent me home. HMMM...7AM and a day to blow so I headed off to the mountains. I knew of a little spot no one seemed to want to walk down to. The rains had just came and I was ready to give it a try. I quickly realized that the walk was worth it. I cleaned the bedrock cracks and crevices thoroughly. In my first pan I had about 12 nuggets that were about the size of this >>> O. I began working like a madman, or some say just being myself, and at the end of 5 hours I had a very nice little pile of shiny nuggets. Upon the scale they weighed in at 2.11 ounces! A lot more than I would have made at work. I went back that weekend and pulled out another 3/4 ounce! This is just another example of a little extra effort, a long walk, paying off. A few of my buddies were kicking themselves in the rear when I showed them what panned out of the spot that was just too far downstream! And to top it off I only used a pan, shovel and a small trowel. But that is a secret I have known for quite some time.
