Less than $100.00 Budget

For under $100.00 you can get a very good start! No only in wet areas but in dry also.

You have quite a few choices. You can buy a few gold pans, a snuffer bottle, a screener, a few 5 gallon water containers, screwdriver, spoon and a few 5 gallon buckets and a plastic panning tub and garden tools. The pans enable you to work wet creeks and streams. The buckets enable you to dig up dirt in a dry area and take it to water. The screener enables you to screen your material so you can toss out un-need rocks ( check them for gold ). The sniffer bottle enables you to "suck up" the gold you pan out. The garden tools, screwdriver and spoon enable you to clean out cracks and crevices in bedrock. The water containers allow you to transport water to a dry area and you just need to fill your plastic panning tub with water and pan out your dirt. Or you could buy a sluice ( where applicable ) and a gold pan and a snuffer bottle.
