One of the best areas is just outside the town of Rye, AZ
Take 87 south from Payson to Rye.
From the Rye Creek Bar and Restaurant's parking lot you can look westward and see a road crossing 87. You can cross 87 and take this road north, soon it will turn to a dirt road.
All through out this area a lot of gold has been recovered. Not only from the washes but from flat areas and hillsides.
Heading farther south on 87 the areas near Bushnell Tanks and Sycamore Creek have produced gold.
Remember be patient. Learning to find gold takes time. Talk to others who are experienced and learn form them.
Remember you are the only one responsible for your safety in the field!
We can only show you potential areas where gold has been and/or can be found.
Remember you are responsible for where you go and investigating whether or not it is permissible (legal) to be there and if you are allowed to prospect there legally! We have no control over land and/or mineral rights ownership and the fact that these two things can and do change on a daily basis!
A GPS location or any location that is legal for you to visit today may be illegal for you to visit tomorrow!
Have a lot of fun...
